Why Consume exists<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

In 2019, I moved back to Sweden after 25 years of living and working from the UK, Germany and the Czech\u00a0republic. Over time, I came to a realisation. The experience that the large international companies I worked for possess is virtually nonexistent among small and medium-sized consumer goods companies.<\/p>

My experience from companies such as Essity, P&G \/ Gillette (they merged during my time), Reckitt Benckiser, British American Tobacco, Revlon, Velcro \u2013 some of the world’s largest consumer goods companies \u2013 is a truly fantastic asset, if I as a consultant make that experience available to growing businesses.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Where I come from<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

My background runs across Household & Personal Care, OTC Medicines, Consumer Electrical & Homeware, and Cosmetics & Fragrances \u2014 brand director roles built on commercial instinct, equally at home in consumer marketing, trade marketing, and sales & key account management. I’ve grown revenue and margin the way that actually works: new product innovation, brand equity that compounds instead of fading, channel strategy built for the shop floor and for e-commerce alike.<\/p>

And the work I’ve cared about most has been leading people through change. Acquisitions. Restructuring. Closing things down when that was the right call, building teams up when that was. Senior stakeholders, investors, boards \u2014 I’ve sat across the table from all of them, and I know how to bring them with you.<\/p>

I’ve worked in the UK, Germany, the Czech Republic and France. Led brand and portfolio strategy across Europe, North America and South Africa. Opened whitespace markets in Japan, China, Korea, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina. Wherever the market, the job has always been the same: find what’s true about the business, then build the strategy that gets it growing.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A holistic view of a company’s P&L and its operations, turned into a strategy that actually moves growth and profit \u2014 not one that sits in a deck. I’m also a certified non-executive board member (Styrelseakademien, Sweden), so I know what it looks like from both sides of that table.

Three decades inside consumer goods companies \u2014 local projects, regional roles, global roles, and everything in between \u2014 and the thing that’s never stopped pulling me in is the whole picture. Not just the brand. Not just the numbers. How they hold together.
